totally awesome part.
great quality, and contrary to popular belief these filters DO NOT affect the Mass Air Flow sensor. [...]. i am a professional technician and ALL my cars, ALL the shop trucks, and several customer vehicles have K&N filters and NONE have ever had issues due to filter oil. if the sensor ever went bad it was due to burning out due to age. (which DOES happen) this intake increased my MPG on our 2007 ion redline from 35 to 37 on the highway and bumped it 12 wheel horsepower on our mustang dyno. nuff said. it's been on the car for 28,987 miles and never an issue with anything. make sure you use the included water jacket for the cone filter and it's ok even in bad weather.

Great Product at a Great Price!
Bought this for my 2004 Saturn Ion Redline, and have had no problems (knock on wood!). Install took a buddy and I about 4 hours, but it was nothing too difficult (we didn't know what we were doing at first, but if we did it again it'd take much less time). The intake comes with everything you need to install it, besides the basic hand tools/wrench sets.I didn't really notice too much of a gain performance-wise (which I knew before purchasing). The intake did, however, amplify the supercharger whine like crazy! That alone was worth the purchase. I searched around various auto-parts stores/websites, and Amazon definitely had one of the lowest prices I could find.I highly recommend this product. It may not give you the 'guaranteed +15 horsepower', but the amplified supercharger whine is well worth the price.One thing to note: The K&N filters tend to come over-oiled. This can cause excess oil to get on the MAF sensor in the intake tube, which...
