A whole lot of polishing make it an efficient, worhtwhile upgrade
I've had an opportunity to use Office 2010 Beta edition for a couple of months now and now that I see the full, final, edition I can say that this is a very worthwhile upgrade. First things first, I am not a techie. I am someone who uses Word, Excel and PowerPoint on a very regular basis, who really liked some of the changes in Office 2007 but who thought some things needed tweaking, so when given the opportunity for the beta edition I jumped on it and have not been disappointed. Office 2010 is to Office 2007 what Windows 7 was to Vista; that is, there are not many breakthrough, drastically different features, but a whole lot of polishing and cleanup to make it easier and more efficient. Overall, the program seems to run faster, incorporates many of the most commonly used options and makes them more accessible (eliminating many dialog boxes and tabs) and allows for more customization.At first glance it looks very much like its predecessor, the ribbon is back and it is now...

Very worthwhile, but a word of caution on install.
This is a worthwhile upgrade for me. I debated whether to do it or not and what version to get. I finally decided on the Home and Student version. I was pleased to see the price actually drop upon shipping. For me the main deal was OneNote 2010 which allows me to print directly into OneNote. In December I bought a new laptop and it has Win7 Pro 64bit. I was very disappointed to find that OneNote 2007 did not include a driver to print directly into it. While MS did provide a work around this much better.One word of caution when you are installing. My MS Office install is a bit of a collection. I'm using stand alone versions of Outlook and Publisher (both 2007) and Access (2003). I had decided to leave these as is. Upon installing 2010 I was presented with two buttons: "Upgrade" and "Customize". I picked curtain 1 (upgrade). My bad! The install then proceeded to remove Outlook, Publisher and Access. Since the program I was installing did not include these products I think...

Moving from Office 2003, this is a really big deal.
I'm coming from OLD versions of these applications. I'm ashamed to say I was still using a version of Word 2002 on one of my computers...Yikes! I've been using Mozilla's excellent (and free) Thunderbird client for many years.So the standout here for me, is Outlook. I honestly can't figure how I ever effectively used email before. If you've ever tried to configure Thunderbird for gmail access using either POP or IMAP, it is a multi-step process (by multi, I mean like 22 steps) to get to the end. Complete with re-mapping ports, changing TLS and server configurations, the whole deal. I could always get it to work, eventually, and once it's set, it just works after that. You only had to go through that process once. But since I do OS re-installs somewhat regularly, I had to go through this Thunderbird "initialization" process many, many times.So I download the Office 2010 Beta. (the full beta that installs on your hdd, not the virtualization beta which was...

Hope this review will help
Even with the negative reviews I decided to purchase this product because I had to have it like Yesterday. One of the bad reviews had mentioned getting an error message about the 32 Bit Version error coming up when installing. Well the same thing happened to me and the problem was that with my new computer there was already a trial version of this product on the computer so I uninstalled the version that came with the computer then when I went to install this product I had no problem so hopefully this will help anyone else that comes across that same problem. The product installed perfectly and works great. Hope this is helpful.

Using Print Shop 23.1
Print Shop 23.1 does what Print Shop 2.0 cannot do and that is - to open the many projects created in recent, earlier versions of Print Shop. Both Print Shop 23.1 and 2.0 are compatible with Windows 7 but vers. 23.1 allows access to other, earlier, projects as vers. 2.0 does not. Without vers. 23.1 these projects would have been lost to me and all the effort they represent.

Same-old, same-old, in this case = perfect!
Yep. Same-old Print Shop. Easy to use, easy to print, with excellent results every time. The program has been updated, and there are more features, but it's straight-out-of-the-box simple-to-use. And it works perfectly with Win 7.

Works great with Windows 7
After upgrading to Windows 7, I was frustrated to find I could no longer use Printshop Deluxe version 20. I spent way too much time trying to solve this problem. I have done a photo collage with captions for Christmas cards every year on Printshop, and was not eager to learn a new program. I was so happy to find that this program works exactly like the old program, but has some added features. I was able to open last year's card and use it as a template for this year's without having to reformat anything. The old program had developed a bug and wouldn't crop pictures accurately. The new one crops fine and offers more cropping choices. It also has more photo editing choices. I can't comment on those much, because I use Photoshop Elements to fix photos. If you like your old version of Printshop, but it doesn't work on Windows 7, this program is your answer.I haven't looked at the newer versions of Printshop, but based on their reviews, they don't look that great...

Who Should and Shouldn't Buy This!
Customer Video Review Length:: 5:18 MinsI have used Photoshop Elements since version 2 and I strongly believe it is the best photo-editing program available for under $100. It will do most of the editing tasks that the full version of Photoshop does but at a fraction of the cost. It is the software I have my "Digital Photography" and "Digital Drawing and Painting" students use for the college courses I teach.If you are serious or semi-serious about editing your photos I highly recommend that you purchase this. In addition, an important advantage of learning (and using) Elements is that if you decide to someday move up to the full version of Photoshop all the stuff you learned translates to the more expensive program. It's an Excellent Software for the Price
I am a user of Photoshop Elements. I downgraded from Photoshop CS(x) as I no longer needed such a powerful program. Adobe Elements offers all of the features that most home users want or need. I have given it four stars instead of five because I think the Help component is lacking.As to the other reviewer who gave this program 1 star, I have to point out that Adobe Photoshop Elements is NOT movie editing software. It is photo editing software. Perhaps she was referring to Adobe Premiere Elements, which is a movie editing software application.

Beginner Likes It
This review is for brand new beginners like me. I've never used any of the many software programs for video capture or editing. A friend told me that Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum was the easiest and least buggy. BTW, I don't know what the word Platinum refers to or, for that matter, if there is a silver or gold version. Everyone but this one friend told me to shut up and buy a mac in order to use Imovie. I ended up going with Vegas rather than buying a new computer just to edit video.Here's what I've noticed in the first week of use: I was overwhelmed reading the instruction manual but then I stumbled onto the incredible sony training website. Brief and to the point: Reviewed Corel pro/Pinnacle, Adobe and Sony. I did the trials.Sony was the most easy to manipulate and had the most bells and whistles. It did not crash when I rendered to DVD or to Youtube or to IMDB (IMDB's got some upload rules).Yes, there's a lot of information, but I went to Sony and found "support" under there is "training" and under that was webinars. I watched three webinars and all the training videos.I am a novice and did have to figure out the windows.For the money: their features, their interface and they way things work ESPECIALLY: "SHOW ME HOW!" are brilliant.NO, I do not work for them.
